RightRoundArt - a website by 21-year-old artist that displays projects in form of portfolio made by other artists in order to promote them. For free.

When Gonçalo Duarte, a 21-year-old, an amateur artist from Lisbon, Portugal, left his country to go live in Spain, then the UK, and now France, he gathered a lot of cultural information, thus influencing the artistic notions and knowledge that he had "It's always good to expand our horizons. There is so much out there to see and experience", he said. That of course had a direct impact on his perception of Art. "I like all forms of art. From dancing to painting and film-making. I even consider cooking a form of art! (Laughs) Why not? You're creating something, right?".
Gonçalo, whose biggest passion is Film (even though he is also a digital artist and has been a musician for about 10 years, now), says he had the idea for this website when he realized there were too many unknown artists, like him, out there. "Lots of hidden talent everywhere" he says, "It's an enormous waste of creativity, if you can't share it. Why would you create something artistic and then just keep it in your hard-drive? Unless you have strong reasons not to share it, but then, why create it?". He also went on saying "Having that said, I completely understand that a lot of people don't have the means or the knowledge to share their work. That's why I created this website. I believe RightRoundArt.com has strong possibilities of helping unknown artists (myself included) to get out there and show the world what they can do". While some people say he is like the "Good Samaritan of the artistic World Wide Web" he says he just had a good idea that happens to be one that can help lots of people, "...And I like that feeling", he adds. While no one can know if the project is going to work, one can be certain of Gonçalo's motivation.
The website is accepting applications from all sorts of artists from anywhere in the world. Filmmakers, singers, musicians, producers, dancers, painters, etc. RightRoundArt then creates a profile of each artist and a portfolio that will be featured on the website.
An idea for the future is to include a e-Commerce system in the website and sell the artists' work, splitting the income between the website and the artist. Gonçalo says there are lots of other ideas, but he did not want to share them yet.
