Acclaimed musician Krsna Tan will be giving a solo show called One Man and His Sitar in Singapore on January 14th 2012.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Singapore's Esplanade Recital Studio will play host to One Man and His Sitar next month, a solo show for the talented local musician Krsna Tan.
To be held on January 14th 2012, the performance will showcase the abilities of one of Singapore's leading sitar players, who has won numerous admirers since claiming first prize at the National Indian Music Competition at the age of 12 in 2002.
Since then, he has been able to develop an individualistic style that pushes the boundaries of conventional musical ideas, offering creative reinventions of popular tunes.
He gained worldwide recognition when noted Singaporean filmmaker Eric Khoo used Tan's sitar music in the soundtrack to his film My Magic, the first Singaporean movie to be nominated for the Palme D'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
Those wishing to see Tan live can purchase tickets online for S$20 (£9.80), plus an additional S$1 booking fee.
The performance gets underway at 20:00 local time on the Saturday evening and will last for an hour and a half.
