DirectRooms.com confirms that the Seville City Marathon will take place on Sunday 19th February 2012 starting in the Seville Olympic Stadium at 9.30am. Wheelchair entrants will start at the southwest corner of the arena (opposite Gate E) so as to stay away from the ramp at the south tunnel.

The distance run is 42.195m, or just over 26 miles, and the marathon is run on an urban circuit that has been officially endorsed by both the Association of International Marathons and Road Races (AIMS) and the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA). The track will be fully equipped with provisioning points, toilets, sponges and distance markers in accordance with the RFEA and IAFF rules and regulations. The finishing line will be open from 11.30am until 2.30pm when the marathon officially ends.
Seville Olympic Stadium offers all runners excellent auxiliary facilities of showers and cloakrooms, changing rooms and ample parking. Refreshments, consisting of water, energy drinks and food, will be made available at the starting line and every five kilometres to the finishing line.
Medical assistance stations will be set up with a doctor and an ambulance at five kilometre intervals throughout the circuit. Free physiotherapy and chiropody treatments will be made available to runners once they have crossed the finishing line.
Participants and spectators who are attending the Seville City |Marathon will be pleased with the variety of centrally situated hotels so that looking for a hotel Seville City Centre will not cause problems. However, it would be prudent to book early as this event is always well attended and demand for centrally located hotels will be high.
