An All-New Reality / Documentary Film Series Tuesdays at 10P et/pt Beginning November 22 on the National Geographic Channel
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
Follow this tight-knit company of rock technicians who plant explosives, manhandle thousand pound drills, and set anchors into sheer rock, all while hanging hundreds of feet above the ground on a rope. Working with the constant threat of boulders the size of trucks falling around them, these men risk life and limb to protect us from the threat of massive avalanches and landslides all across North America. When a mountain falls, this crew of rock stars puts it back together.
Imagine Deadliest Catch on a mountain-- but these rock men hang from from deadly cliff sides, and "scale," or remove, large rocks that threaten human lives.
"We work for the protection of others. We're not cops, we're not firemen; we're sort of the unsung heroes of the open highway. 9 out of 10 people have no idea that we exist." -Veteran scaler Greg Pujos, with 24 years experience
The first episode takes place in the heart of Washington state’s mountainous terrain. Under the pressure of impending deadlines, this slope stabilization crew has to overcome numerous obstacles and avoid making mistakes that could cost them their lives as they work to stabilize Washington's most dangerous stretch of highway.
