November 14, 2011: Parle G and ZICA are the principal brand partners for ‘Super K’, a 3D CGI animation film, produced by Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. releasing exclusively on Yahoo! Movieplex, the premium video destination of Yahoo! India, from November 11.
PARLE G & Zica, RobinAge, Diamond Comics, Magic Holidays (Holiday Partner), Wow Retail, My FM, Radio One and Global Advertisers associate are the other brand partners and associates for the first ever exclusive online release of the kids’ animation film in India.
‘Super K’ (www.superkloud.com) is a 95-minute full-length super-hero film with an interesting mix of action, comedy and fantasy. It is primarily targeted at children and is exclusively available on Yahoo! Movieplex to all users in India for free. The brand partners have associated with ‘Super K’ to support the concept of parents and children watching the film any time, any where, any device and many times.
According to a recent I-cube report, almost half a million Indian Internet audience is pre-teens, of which 75% access the Internet 2-3 times a week. This reflects an emerging trend with children coming to the Internet extensively to consume content. In order to tap into this growing consumption of online video content, Shemaroo Entertainment, an established integrated media content house, has partnered with Yahoo! India exclusively to provide the launch platform for its latest animated movie. With the tagline, ‘Some Heroes are born while Super K was created’, the film features a “created” super hero and a goof-up causes him to turn out to be a freak, unable to control his powers. The story of ‘Super K’ explores his magical escapades in Dreamzone, with an interesting mix of action, comedy and fantasy. As Badmess along with the evil Dr. Ozox plan to take over Dreamzone, ‘Super K’ has to team up with his friends and also learn to control his powers.
