“What a beautiful silk lingerie range,” said Business Owner, Anne Watson (also known as “Annie”). “It took some doing to get the factory to do the leopard print design on the silk, but we got a gorgeous range in the end. ”
Speaking about the new range, Watson explained how knitted silk differs from your normal satin woven style silk:
“Knitted silk is made from a single yarn or a set of yarns. A knitting silk machine forms loops in the yarn and links them to one another by way of needles. The finished knitted silk consists of crosswise and lengthwise rows of loops. This loop structure makes the knitted silk more elastic than woven silk, and results in a comfortable, very soft, lightweight sleepwear that resists wrinkling.”
