Toronto, October 20, 2011 – Yesterday at 4pm Marie Saint Pierre presented the spring and summer 2012 collections at the tents, David Pecaut Square in Toronto. The exhibition was designed so that guests could get up-close and personal looks at the new designs with six still mannequins on risers in the middle of the space surrounded by eight models. Guests sipped on tea from David's Teas for a relaxing cocktail hour providing a break from the usual buzz of fashion week.
THE COLLECTIONS:
The spring 2012 collection introduces and integrates knot detailing, sculpted faux-leather rope effects, layers, transparencies and an alluring mix of tone on tone materials. With a focal point on ribbons, filaments and trims, the designer remains true to her signature chic yet relaxed style.
The summer 2012 collection integrates ultra light, breathable material with bold colors like red, green and metallic gold. Fluid and transparent layers organically drape the body, perfect for hot summer days to nights.
