FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
Some of the best squash players in the world will be travelling to Hong Kong next month to participate in the prestigious Hong Kong Squash Open 2011.
Taking place at the Hong Kong Squash Centre in the Admiralty district and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui, the competition will run from November 13th to 20th.
One of the key events on the Hong Kong sporting calendar, as recognised by the Major Sports Events Committee, the open will see top male and female players competing for total prize money of more than HK$1.7 million (£141,700).
Last year saw Ramy Ashour of Egypt triumph in the main men's competition, while Nicol David of Malaysia was the women's champion.
Spectators can expect to see high-quality play while enjoying a spectacular view of Victoria Harbour, the backdrop for the semi-finals and finals at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza.
Tickets for the competition range between HK$50 and HK$280, with free admission for the qualifying rounds during the first two days of the event.
