DirectRooms.com is pleased to announce that the 2011/12 A-League Football season will kick off on the 8th of October with a replay of last season’s final between the 2011 champion Brisbane Roar and the Central Coast Mariners. The match will take place at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
The Brisbane Roar is one of the oldest football clubs in Australia, and was founded in 1957. The A-League is the Australian version of English soccer, and is not to be confused with Australian Rules football.
The match will kick off at 7:45 p.m. and is in fact the start of the Hyundai A-League football season as well as being a re-play of last season’s final in which the Brisbane Roar defeated the Central Coast Mariners on penalties 4-2. The match had ended on time as a two-all draw.
Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and is one of Australia’s largest cities, with a population of two million people. There are many Brisbane City Centre hotels that will be suitable for football enthusiasts, and the night of 8th October looks set to be a long and enjoyable evening.
Suncorp Stadium is in the heart of Brisbane and is home to the Brisbane Roar. The stadium also hosts many other major Queensland sporting events. The stadium can easily be reached by both public transport and by car, and those presenting a match ticket on the bus from central Brisbane or on Queensland Rail Services will be able to travel free of charge. |
