DirectRooms.com reports that keen runners are being invited to compete in a couple of races being held in Adelaide, which are designed to get people working out in time for the summer.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Accomplished runners or motivated walkers can sign up for the Brooks Spring into Shape Adelaide Series 2011 which will be a mix of a 4.7km run and a longer 7km run. The first run can be walked instead if necessary, as the aim of the events is simply to encourage people of all fitness levels to pick up their running shoes and take to the course.
The races of both distances are being staged on consecutive months on 4th September and 2nd October. The aim is to hopefully motivate participants to improve their times and stick to their training plan and are organised in spring so people can shake off the winter and be looking their best for when summer arrives.
This will be the second year that Brooks has held the event and the specialist sports gear producer is giving away free merchandise to all runners. At the end of race one in September, competitors will score a free Brooks bag while the second race will see running wrist pockets being given away. Anyone entered into the entire series will be handed a technical running T-shirt made by Brooks for free.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: “Getting a hotel Adelaide City Centre is set to be more difficult over the race weekends due to the sheer number of people taking part.”
