FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
Hotly-tipped band The Raghu Dixit Project are set to perform in Norfolk next month.
The Indian group will take to the stage at the Norwich Arts Centre on Wednesday August 10th, with the show due to begin at 20:00 BST.
Fronted by former dancer Raghu Dixit, the band has cultivated a unique brand of folk rock grounded in the developing alternative music scene in India.
The Raghu Dixit Project's material has been described as traditional Indian folk music influenced to varying degrees by reggae, Latino, Arabic and western rock sounds.
With a self-titled debut album that went on to become India's highest selling non-Bollywood music release, the outfit are becoming a force to be reckoned with in the world music scene.
The group have already performed live on the BBC's Later with Jools Holland and their LP is due to get a UK release via Wrasse Records in September.
Tickets for the show in Norwich can be purchased online for £10. Entry will be priced at £12 on the door.
