Purveyor of All-Natural Sushi and Japanese Cuisine Will Support Relief Efforts through Fundraising Program

Genji, Inc., purveyor of all-natural sushi and Japanese cuisine at 134 Whole Foods Markets in the U.S. and locations throughout the U.K., has announced it is launching a fundraising program to support the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. From March 21 through March 27, ten cents of every item sold at Genji locations within Whole Foods Markets in the U.S.’s North Atlantic, Mid-Atlantic and Florida regions and in UK stores will be donated to the Red Cross.

“With the close ties that our Company has to Japan, our employees have shown great concern regarding the recent crisis, and we wanted to support relief efforts in a swift and impactful way,” said Shingo Kanai, CEO and President of Genji, Inc. “By supporting the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, we’ll be able to raise funds to help the Red Cross in its work, both in Japan and in other regions around the world in need of assistance following natural disasters.”

Genji, Inc. plans to donate a minimum of $15,000 to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund through this initiative. Should the monies raised through the promotion not reach this minimum, Genji will contribute the outstanding amount.
