Deborah Lambert, CPA, CPCU, Managing Partner of Johnson Lambert & Co. LLP, became a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) Council at the Council’s meeting in Las Vegas October 18-20, 2009.

(October, 2009) Deborah Lambert, CPA, CPCU, Managing Partner of Johnson Lambert & Co. LLP, became a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) Council at the Council’s meeting in Las Vegas October 18-20, 2009. Debbie Lambert was designated by the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (“NCACPA”) to serve a 1 year term on the AICPA Council. The AICPA Council is a body of approximately 265 members with representatives from every state and U.S. territory. AICPA Council is the ultimate governing body of the AICPA and determines the AICPA’s programs and policies.

Debbie Lambert, co-founded Johnson Lambert & Co. LLP in 1986 and has served as managing partner since 2006. She has been extremely active in professional activities throughout her career. She currently serves on the NCACPA Board of Directors where she is Chair-Elect. Her previous professional activities include serving on the AICPA Board of Directors and Chair of the Auditing Standards Board of the AICPA. She also served as Chair of the Committee on Sponsoring Organizations (“COSO”) Small Business Control Advisory Group Task Force and on the SEC Advisory Committee on Smaller Public Companies.
