 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Are you between 16 and 18 years old, and considering a career in IT? Or are you already employed in the sector, and simply wish to add to your skills and qualifications? Then why not enhance your career prospects with a Zenos training programme.
Now in its eighth year, Zenos is the UK’s leading provider of IT Support training, and the largest Microsoft Training Academy in Europe.
The Banbury-based company trains over 1500 people a year, through their network of 22 Academies spread right across the country. It is the brainchild of George and Sandra Anderson, who had both enjoyed successful careers with Xerox before forming Zeros in 2001.
Funded by the Government’s Learning and Skills Council (LSC), Zenos delivers full-time training programmes to young people wanting to get onto the IT career ladder. They also offer post-training careers advice in order to help graduates secure that all-important first job.
Courses at Zenos last for 20 weeks, with two intakes starting in September and February. Programmes are delivered via a number of methods including workshops, one-to-one tutoring and independent study. All learners are treated as “employees”, and the professional environment of the Zenos Academies will show you what to expect when you enter the “real world of work”.
Zenos’ programmes are run under the LSC’s Advanced Apprenticeship scheme, and provide students with internationally recognised Vendor qualifications for companies such as Microsoft and Cisco. They also offer programmes that are tailor-made for a number of their clients, including blue-chip companies such as Fujitsu and Xerox. As well as their IT qualifications, graduating students will receive an industry-recognised Level 3 NVQ certificate.
In summer 2008 Zenos was rated “outstanding” in every key area of inspection by the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted), so you can be assured of receiving the highest quality of teaching from their training staff. This is reflected in the 80 per cent pass rate for their Systems Support and Software Development programmes, which is almost twice the national average.
Zenos students also achieve above-average employment levels upon completing their training programmes. More than 80 per cent of Academy graduates will obtain full-time employment within the IT industry, and will typically earn up to 40 per cent more per year than others in their age group.
And it’s not just your IT career that Zenos could help launch. This year the company launched their own X Factor-style talent show for existing Zenos students. Auditions for the “Z Factor” were held right across the country, and the seven finalists will compete in front of a live audience at the Z Factor final, which will be held at Alton Towers on 22nd October.
As well as the full-time training programmes offered at their Academies, Zenos also offer work-based training schemes for those already working in the IT industry who want to gain higher-level skills and qualifications. These are open to anyone over the age of 16, and are delivered at your place of work by Zenos Trainers and Programme Facilitators.
